I can’t believe it has almost been a month since the wedding! Time really does fly by when you’re having fun. I could get into all the things I love about being Mrs. Gomez, but I’ll leave that for a different post. I have been getting a few questions on my vendors like: Who I hired? Would I recommend them? Any tips I would give? etc. So here they are!
The one tip I received from every one when I was planning my wedding was: Get a day-of coordinator. So I did, and it was a life saver! I hired Keriann from With Love Events, LLC. I cannot recommend her enough, she was friendly and so helpful. My day ran smoothly and it was all thanks to her! Check out her Instagram so you can see for yourself how amazing her work is!
My venue was pretty much BYOE (bring your own everything). Alcohol at my wedding was a must! Neither myself or Miguel are big drinkers, but that was still at the top of my list. I thought about just setting up bottles at a table and have people serve themselves. After thinking about it, I realized that was not the best idea. So I searched Thumbtack and that’s when I found Lauren. I absolutely loved her! She brought her own little portable bar and it was great! I ended up booking her for the bar and her team of servers for dinner. I loved working with them, they took care of everything.
I absolutely LOVE our photographer! Jane was recommended to me by a friend for my engagement pictures and she was amazing! She is so fun to work with. If you know Miguel and I then you know how awkward we are. We were pretty nervous for our engagement pictures since neither of us had taken professional pictures before. As soon as we met with Jane all those nerves went out the window. She’ll make you feel super comfortable, almost like a close friend is taking your pictures! I cannot wait to get our wedding pictures to share them with you guys! Check out her Instagram and blog so you can see her amazing work for yourself.
My cake was from For the Love of Sugar. It was as delicious as it was beautiful! Menal was amazing to work with, I told her what I had in mind and she made it happen! I received so many compliments on it. I was so busy having fun that I didn’t grab a slice when they passed it out, when I walked back and saw that it was gone from the table I almost cried because I thought I hadn’t gotten a chance to try it. I walked back in the kitchen and saw that my amazing servers had saved both my top tier for our anniversary as well as a huge piece for us to take home. That was the moment when I disappeared from my wedding and sat in the kitchen eating cake LOL.
I heard more horror stories than I wanted to while planning my wedding of vendors being difficult to work with, not showing up the day of the wedding, etc. So I was extremely worried. Thankfully I was lucky enough to find these amazing vendors that made my day go by smoothly and if there were some hiccups I did not even realize it. They took care of everything!
